Inspiration Behind One Soul:

One Soul was born out of a passion for art and a commitment to uplift communities through creativity. Recognizing the immense talent within South Africa’s challenged townships, the organization aims to provide artists with the resources, mentorship, and exposure they need to thrive.

The inspiration comes from the belief that art has the power to transcend barriers, foster cultural pride, and create opportunities for personal and professional growth. By connecting artists with mentors, facilitating workshops, and showcasing their work in public spaces, One Soul seeks to ignite a movement of empowerment and self-expression.

Ultimately, the mission of One Soul is to harness the transformative power of art to inspire change, build community, and create a platform where local talent can shine, ensuring that every artist’s voice is heard and celebrated.

The history of OneSoul

One Soul was born out of a serendipitous encounter in 2023, a moment when fate stepped in to change the course of my life. I was standing at the airport, anxiously awaiting an interview that I believed would define my future. It was there that I crossed paths with one of the most influential mentors I could have ever hoped for. As we exchanged words, he casually asked what had brought me to the airport that day. I confidently replied, “I’m here for an interview.”

With a smile, he proposed a bet: “$100 says you’ll land the job.” Little did we know, destiny had other plans. I didn’t get the job, but that loss was the beginning of something far greater. As we talked, my mentor revealed a new path, introducing me to the world of art—a realm I had never imagined myself in. He needed a personal assistant for his art business, and in that moment, my journey as an artist began.

What started as a chance meeting blossomed into a thriving venture, One Soul, a company that now stands as a testament to the unexpected turns life can take. It’s a reminder that sometimes, the doors that close are just guiding us to the ones we were meant to open all along.
